hannah
Hannah’s dancing started aged three with ballet, tap and modern and later she fell in love with salsa, a passion that has lasted over two decades. Hannah has performed nationally and internationally with Shelley and Gil’s semi-professional team, Alma de Pexava for over 5 years, and has taught throughout the UK. Training with Pexava, she developed the nickname ‘Speedy Gonzales’ because of her fast spinning and following! Passionate about technique, body movement and spinning, Hannah loves sharing her knowledge to help dancers hone high quality movement and become the best dancers they can be.
Tef
Tef has been dancing salsa for over 10 years and has taken classes all over the world. Before moving to Bristol, he was a regular teacher for Ardour in Cardiff providing technique-focused classes and entertaining students with his good humour and friendly approach. An analyst by day, Tef is passionate about understanding the mechanisms behind complex turn patterns and translating them in a way that is easy to understand and apply.
Our Mission
Hannah and Tef are passionate about salsa and understand the importance of strong fundamentals in producing top dancers. Together, they are able to provide high class teaching in class to both followers and leaders in equal measure, developing strong partner work technique in both roles. As well as technique, they love to bring body movement, styling, and flare into everything they do focusing on the quality of movement that will take your dancing to the next level. To get the best from their students, Tef and Hannah enjoy creating learning environments which are focused and (appropriately) challenging but at the same time, fun, friendly and good-humoured with the occasional sugary treat!
